This drum sleeve is made of Q355D steel, featuring left-hand 60° rope grooves and spiral connection for easy assembly and disassembly. Its surface is coated with epoxy zinc-rich primer for excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance. The precisely-machined rope grooves protect steel wire ropes and reduce wear effectively. It is suitable for matching drums of cranes and winches.

Application

This drum sleeve is assembled on the outer side of drums for hoisting winches and cranes as the bearing component for steel wire rope grooves. It guides the steel wire rope to arrange neatly, preventing disordered winding, extrusion and abrasion, and protecting the drum base. It is widely used for hoisting mechanisms of construction machinery, port lifting equipment and mining winches.

Matters Need to Attention

• Ensure tight spiral connection during installation and control joint gap to prevent loosening and displacement during operation.
• Inspect epoxy zinc‑rich primer coating before work, repair damaged coating in time to avoid substrate corrosion.
• Select steel wire rope matching groove specification. Overload operation is prohibited to prevent groove extrusion damage.
• Regularly check connection parts and groove wear condition, replace the drum shell when wear exceeds the allowable limit.
