Product Description

This luffing drum is made of Q355C steel with precisely machined Lebus grooving. The special groove design enables neat multi-layer wire rope winding and avoids rope crossing or jumping. It undergoes heat treatment and NDT inspection for high structural strength under heavy lifting loads. Custom dimensions are available to match luffing mechanism of various cranes.

Matters Need to Attention

1. Inspect the drum groove, flange and shaft hole for damage before installation, confirm dimension matching, and never force assembly.
2. Ensure the wire rope lead angle stays within specification during operation to prevent partial groove wear and rope jumping.
3. Regularly check anti-corrosion coating, welds and groove wear. Stop operation immediately if cracks, peeling paint or severe groove abrasion are found.
4. Do not overload. Run the equipment at low speed for a trial before formal operation in low-temperature environments to reduce impact load.
5. For long-term storage, place it in a dry and ventilated area, keep it protected from water and salt spray corrosion.
